When was the last time?

I recall seeing a study a few years ago about how you can change your mood, anxiety levels, and blood pressure simply by standing within 10 feet of a tree for a few minutes every day.

My reaction?

Uh, yeah. I do it all the time.

But I have realized that I might be a little weird in this department, so this is a testimonial.

Ever heard of grounding? Same story here.

Maybe it’s my beach bum roots, but I love going barefoot. In fact, pending any wild weather, my bare feet are on my lawn at the end of every day. Just wandering around, checking on the plant babies, pulling a weed here and there, making sure the fruit is busy fruitin’.

If I had my way I’d be barefoot most of the day, and most of the year.

It’s so good for the psyche (which I recently learned is Greek for “your entire being”, not just your mind).

Now I see ads for copper-woven blankets with ground straps that you can bolt to your concrete foundation… a poor substitute for the real thing.

My kids use the phrase “touch grass, bro” to tell one another to get offline and back into reality. They say it sarcastically, but I’m here to say it seriously, because it will change you every single day.

Walk in the woods, and go touch grass -

Onward and upward,
